AMAZEMET at EUROMAT 2025 – Join Us in Spain!

AMAZEMET is proud to announce our participation in the FEMS EUROMAT 2025 in Granada, Spain, from September 14-18, 2025. This premier European congress and exhibition is a key event for the materials science community, and we are excited to contribute our latest research through two separate presentations.

Our team will be showcasing advancements in both powder production and additive manufacturing of tool steels, highlighting our commitment to pushing the boundaries of materials science and technology.

Join us for a presentation on our Powder2Powder ultrasonic atomization process, a method designed to overcome the limitations of traditional powder production. This technology uses plasma melting to transform existing powders or powder blends into high-performance, spherical particles with precise chemical compositions. We will present case studies on the creation of custom high-entropy alloys for laser powder bed fusion, as well as the upcycling of other out-of-spec additive manufacturing feedstocks.

Our second presentation will focus on the exciting possibilities of producing high-performance tool steels using additive manufacturing. We’ll present a study on the high-carbon grade 1.2842 (90MnV8), exploring how Powder Bed Fusion-Electron Beam (PBF-EB) and Powder Bed Fusion-Laser (PBF-L) can be used to create cost-effective components that meet or exceed the performance of traditional materials. We will also discuss the unique microstructural features achieved through these methods and the role of in-situ heat treatment in preventing cracking.
